Oct. 16, 2025— Representatives from Chick-fil-A Copperfield visited staff members at Cypress Falls High School and Owens Elementary School on Oct. 2-3 to officially announce their Adopt-a-School partnership with the campuses.
CFISD’s Adopt-a-School program pairs schools with community organizations and business partners to utilize community resources to strengthen and enrich the quality of education for students.
Sydnea Rutland, Chick-fil-A Copperfield owner/operator, expressed her inspiration for adopting Cypress Falls and Owens.

“This is a goal that we are proud to accomplish,” Rutland said. “We are excited to understand the needs of both campuses and see how we can serve the staff, students and families.”
Kyle Parsons, principal at Cypress Falls, shared his excitement for the school’s new partnership with Chick-fil-A.
“We are so excited to be adopted by Chick-fil-A Copperfield,” Parsons said. “Sydnea and her team have been so supportive of our campus, and we are excited about the endless possibility with this amazing partnership.”
César Díaz, principal at Owens, shared his gratitude for Chick-fil-A adopting the campus.
“I am very excited for our school to partner with Chick-fil-A Copperfield,” Díaz said. “This is a fantastic opportunity for public education and the private sector to unite forces for the success of our students. I can’t wait to see the tremendous positive impact that we will make.”
